“He's the only family I have left."

Stephan is a really good and kind person. You hear it in her voice and in the things she talks about, in what she makes important.

Stephan grew up in Montana, but moved all over since very young, working as a migrant picker with her parents. I asked if she liked that experience and she said, "No, I didn't like it, not at all. I told my parents I was not going to live that life. At 15 I moved out. I went to school, worked a full-time job, and got myself an apartment."

Her interests and talents are in the music world. She plays the harmonica and the violin as well as doing impersonations, like of Janis Joplin, Steven Tyler, and Ozzy Osbourne. When I asked what music means to her she said, "Music means freedom, and happiness, and joy. There are answers in music, you just have to seek them."

Right now she needs our immediate help. Her 8 month old dog Polly ran off just outside the dog park and now is being held at the Seattle Animal Shelter. The current charge is $155.00. It goes up $10 a day.

Stephan lives in a tiny home village. Despite a difficult life path she has an amazing optimism and warmth to her. I know she would be greatly appreciative of any help received. Polly is everything to her, the only family she has left.
