FOOD is LOVE
Feb 5th 2024 - By Rex Hohlbein
Imagine if everyone shared a little of what they have, whether talents, skills, or resources, with those in need. Just imagine if we made that a priority in our community.
That's the kind of world we all want to live in.
Tamara Murphy and Linda DiLelo Morton, founders of the restaurant Terra Plata, don't have to imagine it, they are doing it!
When Covid first showed up, they and a few others, such as Egan Orion, began a project called FOOD is LOVE. Damian Monda and others took Terra Plata's food out to those living on our streets. FOOD is LOVE, wowWOW!!
Terra Plata cooks up (50) bowls of soup each week to be taken out to those living on the street. Currently Blair Jordan and Bruce Drager alternate each week to transport and deliver the food. Mark Lloyd is their backup.
If you would like to get involved, either as additional backup, in case someone is unable to deliver the food, or if you would like to just accompany sometime in the delivery, please contact Damian Monda at aerobender2@yahoo.com.
A heartfelt THANKS to everyone involved for making this beautiful community compassion happen. A very special gratitude for Tamara and Linda's smartHEARTS!!!
LOVE.
We are big believers in supporting those that support those in need. Please check out Terra Plata!!! https://www.terraplata.com/
